Ethiopia develops NAMA to increase renewable energy capacities in rural areas
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Water and Energy
The development of this NAMA has recently started. In depth discussions with a wide range of stakeholders is foreseen for early 2015 to further detail scope, activities and identify barriers. Once this is set emission reduction potential and financing mechanisms will be elaborated. A detailed NAMA proposal is foreseen mid-2015, in line with new policy plans to be set during Summer 2015.
